Identifier: audionumeric
Records whether sound facilities are currently active. If they are (value of 1) then the commands sound and pardon will operate correctly. If they are not (value of 0), then all sound output is suppressed. At system start-up, the value of audio is 1 if the workstation has sound facilities.
