Element: group.exclusive

Type

numeric

Description

A numeric value of 1 or 0 indicating whether the group is an exclusive group. An exclusive group is one whose members are not displayed in graphic windows unless specifically directed. New groups by default are not exclusive.

When a group becomes exclusive it is added to the exclusion group list for all windows unless a window has the group specifically named in its display group list. Having a group in a window’s exclusion group list means that graphic primitives in the group are not displayed in the window.

When a group ceases to be exclusive, it’s removed from any windows which have it in their exclusion group list. However, it is not added to a window’s display group list.
