Text log file format.
Fire command and error monitoring. Panel window log sub-panel.
Binary
Log files are created by Fire as a record of events which have happened during a session. They contain lines of text.
System log files, when requested, are created automatically to record all monitor activity and error messages. User log files are created on demand to record lines of text added to a log sub-panel.
On creation they are given a maximum file size in bytes. When this size is exceeded text lines are deleted on a first-in first-out basis so that the file records the most recent text lines added.
The file also contains header information header information with details of the time, date and machine configuration of the creator.
The Fire utility mxlog can be used to print a log file.
